WEEK OF SEPTEMBER 8 - 11

NO SCHOOL ON MONDAY = LABOR DAY

Students should be working on their Scrapbook. Honors is due September 15 CP1 is due the 16th

The scrapbook is done to give the students an idea of how history is gathered, how it is incomplete and bias.  This is how historians work and why the story changes.

On Tuesday and Wednesday we will work on the Nacerima and Rac activity. This will be followed by a world map activity checking the students knowledge of locations around the world.

Thursday and Friday we will find us brainstorming things we know about the Middle Ages. The Middle Ages are the baseline of the year. We will establish that for about a 1000 years society changed very little. Following the Middle Ages, we will be discussing topics in terms of revolutions.

The students will get a homework packet due next week.
Honors will be due on Thursday the 17th.
CP1 will be due on Friday the 18th.

We will be taking a few notes on the Middle Ages. The theme will be two main factors that dominated life: the manor and religion.
Notes will be found here.

This will hopefully get you in the mood for the Middle Ages

Life in the late Middle Ages could be tough, but so were its sports.
