WEEK OF SEPTEMBER 12 - 16

This week will be a variety.

Monday will find us reflecting on 9/11. This will be done by asking the students to build monument to 9/11 and explain why they have the design they came up with.  We will also provide time for discussion.

This clip will hopefully get you in the mood for the Middle Ages and the way they thought and lived.

Tuesday will have us taking the notes on the Middle Ages that can be found here that we started on Friday. This will be followed by a look at the manor.

Wednesday will be a discussion of the manor and how it turned into a castles. The students will design a castle to get a feel for the ideas behind the designs. It was a war machine.

Thursday will find us watching an intresting film about the castle. It covers how they were built, the use  and everyday life.

Friday will find us looking at Knights, Chivalry and everday life. This students will be getting directions to a Middle Ages project. Those will be found here. Speaking of everyday life. This puts soccer in a new light from the 1500s Tudor England.

THURSDAY IS OPEN HOUSE at 6.

Friday the homework packet is due.
