WEEK OF MAY 16 - 20

Monday we will be reviewing our notes on Hinduism which are found here.

Tuesday will find us discussing Buddha and Buddhism. Note sheet is given here.

Wednesday we will read a children's book on what it is to be a good Buddhist called Samsara Dog by Helen Manos. The students will then create a fable based on Buddhism.

Thursday will be sharing our fables and beginning the movie Little Buddha.

Friday we will be continuing the movie Little Buddha.

WEEK OF MAY 10-13

We will be looking at India after the test on Islam.

Monday will be review day for test on Islam.

Tuesday is test on Islam and Middle East.

Wednesday is introduction to India and China. Tangram

Thursday: Brainstorm India and see some footage on India so we can visualize India.

MAY 2-6

This week will continue our look at the Middle East.

Last weeks blog has the  homework packet for Islam and the notes that the students took.


MONDAY IS A HUGE TEACHABLE MOMEMENT WITH OSAMA BIN LADEN'S DEATH!

Tuesday will be looking at Islamic Art and the use of Geometric Shapes in Islamic art and not humans. We will also be reviewing Sunni vs Shiite.
    

Wednesday is a short period. We will be looking at the Palestinian and Israeli conflict.

Thursday we will be looking at the Taliban, Afghanistan and the wars going on in the Middle East

Friday we will review for a test on Monday.
