WEEK OF MARCH 28 - APRIL 1

END OF THE QUARTER IS FRIDAY. MAKE UP WORK MUST BE IN BY WEDNESDAY!

Monday A-2 will be discussing the ideas of how the war was being waged. We will look at the new weapons of war of WWI.  Then we will have our world war WWI.  I will be collecting the homework packet on WWI.



Tuesday B-1 will be going over the homework packet on WWI for a quiz on WWI. I will be collecting  the works cited page on Thursday.  We will then go over how the war went. We will be looking at some pictures. We will then talk about the armistice on 11/11/11/1918

Wednesday A-2 will be doing the same as B-1. I will be collecting the works cited page on Friday.


Thursday B-2 has a quiz on WWI. We will also be watching the rest of All Quiet on the Western Front.

A-2 will do the same as B-2

WEEK OF MARCH 21 - 24

THIS IS A CRAZY WEEK WITH PARC TESTING AND GOOD FRIDAY

Monday A-2 will be taking the notes on WWI start. We look at the videos from last Friday's entry.  Then we will be looking at new weapons of WWI and  the idea of Trench Warfare. Students will also make sure they understand the two sides of the war. The video below will help.


WWI Tuesday B-2 will also be doing the same as A-2.

Wednesday A-2 will be reenacting trench war. Here are some pictures from previous renactments.

I will also be collecting the 20 note cards and the homework packet.

And here is the aftermath of war.. .No one thinks about the clean up.

Thursday B-2 will be enacting their war WWI.
I will be collecting homework packet, 30 note cards and summaries of chapters 7 and 8.



Here is a good example of the tragedy of trench warfare and the stress that soldiers faced in battle from Gallipoli.






Friday is GOOD FRIDAY= No School.

WEEK OF MARCH 14 - 18

Monday B-1 and B-4 will have us playing  our game of Countries and Alliances. This will tie in with the start of WWI.  I will hand out research paper rubric. It will be found here.

Chapters 5 and 6 will be due on Friday of All Quiet On The Western Front

Tuesday A-2 will be in the library working on the Research paper. Taking notes. Those 20 notes will be due next Wednesday. The students will get a rubric for the research paper. 



Wednesday B-1 and B-4 will be in the library working on Research Paper B-1 will need 30 notes. B-4 needs 10

Thursday A-2 will be finishing alliance game and then looking at the beginning of WWI. Students will be getting a homework packet that will be due next Thursday the 24th. Students will take a few notes.

Friday B-1 and B-4 will finish their alliance games and start WWI. See above for notes. Students will get a homework packet that will be due next Friday the 25th on WWI.

I will be collecting Chapters 5 and 6 of All Quiet on the Western Front

WEEK OF MARCH 7 - 11

Monday B-2 will be taking notes on Imperialism and then making flags for their country. The notes be found here.


Tuesday A-2 will be in the library working on their research paper.

Wednesday is a half day and we will be starting the game with the countries

Thursday B-2 will be in the library working on research paper

Friday A-2 will be playing the countries game.
