WEEK OF FEBRUARY 29 - MARCH 4

Monday B-2 will be doing a lot.  We will be looking at the woman's movement and going over the scientist of the day such as Lister, Pasteur and Dalton. Students will move around the room agreeing and disagreeing. Students will get a take home test on the Industrial Revolution.  Students will also get all Quiet on the Western Front.
We will then work on a map of Africa and Imperialism in Africa.

Tuesday is no school

Wednesday A-2 will handing in take home test.  We will be looking at Pictures of the Imperialism and looking at a Haka.  We also be assigning a thesis for a research paper. Students will work on map of Africa. They will then take notes on Imperialism.



Thursday B-2 will be passing in take home test on Industrial Revolution. Students will be doing the same as A-2



Friday A-2  will be taking notes on Imperialism and making flags for their country.

WEEK OF FEBRUARY 22 - 26




Monday will find A-2 reviewing the industrial revolution to date. We will then review the game we played called rock paper scissors. Which will lead us into the discussion of Adam Smith and Karl Marx. The following will help us understand it. We will then play a game designing cars that will help with capitalism and communism




Tuesday B-2 will be going over the same info as A-2.

Wednesday A--2 will be with Ms. Nickerson for guidance.

Thursday B-1 and B-4 will be in the computer lab with Ms. Nickerson.

Friday A-2 we will be looking at women's movement and the right to vote.



Students will then create a suffragette poster.

Then we will be looking at Florence Nightingale and Charles Darwin along with Louis Pasteur.

WEEK OF FEBRUARY 8 - 12

Monday a snow day.
Tuesday B-2 will see us going over the DBQ that will be collected on Friday.  Then we will watch a bit of Charlie Chaplin found below. Worked on Children's book on Darwin, or Nightingale, or Pasteur. Periods short due to delayed opening.





Wednesday is a half day.
Wednesday B-2  will have a quiz on Industrial Revolution and a vocab word.  A-2 will be looking at the new fangled movies of the times. We will be watching Charlie Chaplin's Easy Street. This will show us tenements and life in the Industrial Revolution. A-2 will also get a DBQ that will be due Thursday.

 
Thursday B-2 will be taking a quiz. They will then be looking at capitalism and socialism by playing a game of rock paper scissors. I will collect DBQ.


Friday B-2 will do the same.

WEEK OF FEBRUARY 1 - 5

Monday B-2 will be playing a game on how the industrial revolution started in Great Britain. The game will show how investors made money in the new technologies.
Homework will be reading 19-1 and 19-2

Tuesday A-2 will be doing the same as above.

Wednesday B-2 will be going over the homework packet on Industrial Revolution. We will then take a look at the crash course video we never saw. We will then be looking at improvements in the cities with subways, skyscrapers, police and fire. Students will have readings 21-2 and 3 for homework
Thursday A-2 will be doing the same.

Friday B-2 will have a quiz. They will be looking at new science improvements in areas of medicine and Darwin's Natural Selection and evolution.
