Monday will find us seeing a quick clip of Charlie Chaplin on Easy Street. Shows visually the industrial period we are talking about.
We will then be playing a game about being a business person. They will compete against each other to make the most money by investing in business in Great Britian at the beginning of the Industrial Revolution.
Tuesday will find us finishing up the game and seeing how their investments played out.
Wednesday will find us looking at the major inventions of the Industrial Revolution.
Thursday and Friday will find us in the computer lab making trading cards on those major inventions.

WEEK OF JANUARY 22 - 25
Tuesday will find us finishing the notes on pre industrial revolution vs life after the industrial revolution. Those notes can be found here.
We are also going to take a look at Martin Luther King Jr's Mountain top speech in the remaining time. This speech was given the night before he was assassinated. This will be followed by a discussion of what he stood for and who he was.
This is part of the speech followed by the end.
Interesting enough he worked for economic equality for all workers, a cause born out of the industrial revolution.
Wednesday will find us going over the beginning of Industrial Revolution in Great Britian and why. We will also be looking at some pictures from the time period

Thursday and Friday will find us in the library working on getting our thesis topic narrowed down and in order to start work on the research paper.
Friday I will also collect the homework packet.

WEEK OF JANUARY 14 - 18
Monday will find us looking at the Columbian Exchange with an activity on Christianity and the impact on the native population. Homework sheet will be given out modern Latin and South America.
Tuesday will find us going over the America's diary and the information it contained. We will also peek at the video I posted last week which will help us review.

Wednesday is a quiz on the America's. We will also be introduced to the newest revolution. That of the Industrial Revolution.
Thursday we will be getting a homework packet on the industrial revolution that will be found here. We will also be drawing vocabulary word that will be important to this unit.
Friday we will be taking some notes that will compare rural agricultural life before the Industrial Revolution and urban factory life after the revolution.
