WEEK OF DECEMBER 19 - 23

Monday A-2 and A-4 will see us working on the French Revolution. Students will betting a in class project on the French Revolution. They will be creating a google slide presentation with voice over and music. Some of the work will be homework. The students will get a homework sheet on the French Revolution. It will be found here.

Wednesday A-2 and A-4 will be finishing their projects and handing in the work sheets.


Thursday will be the same for B-2.  They will be handing in their sheets also.

WEEK OF DECEMBER 12 - 16

Tuesday B-2 will be working on the political spectrum and finding out what they are politically. Students will start the 9 types of government. See Tuesday.

Tuesday A-2 and A-4 will present the 9 types of government hand signals. Then we will  find us taking notes on Enlightenment and looking at the major thinkers of the 1600 an 1700's and how they influenced the USA.  The notes will be found here.  We will make a 9 types of government pamphlet. I will be collecting the homework packet.  Students will be getting a class progress report to be signed. for Thursday.


Wednesday B-2 will be doing the same as above. We will practice our types of governments symbols.  I will be collecting the homework packet on Government. Students will get a class progress report to be signed and brought back on Friday.





Thursday A-2 and A-4 will be looking at Absolute Monarchy and the Reign of Louis XIV. We then look at the start of the French Revolution. We will keep practicing our hand symbols. I will be collecting signed progress report.





     










Friday B-2 will be going to the computer lab and working on photo story for an overview of the French Revolution. We will be practicing our hand signals.
If we have time we will also do the following. I will be collecting signed progress report.
We will start looking at the French Monarch and the seeds of the Revolution.

WEEK OF DECEMBER 5 - 9

Monday A-2 and A-4 will be finishing up the scientist year book. Then students will be reviewing for a test on Wednesday on Protestant, Renaissance and Science Revolution that took place.

Tuesday B-2 will do the same as Monday.

Wednesday A-2 and A-4 will be taking a test on Renaissance, Science and Protestant Reformation.
After the test we will start the new unit.
Our new unit is Revolution in Government. We have talked about revolutions in religion, art and music/culture and now it is governments turn.
After the test, students will be talking about Who Should Survive This will lead us to a discussion of society, natural laws and the social contract.Students will also get a homework packet. Students will get homework packet that will be due on Tuesday 13th.

Thursday B-2 will do the same as A-2 and A-4
Students will get a Homework packet that will be due on Wednesday the 14th. 

On Friday A-2 and A-4 will be introduced to the political spectrum. They will learn what a liberal, conservative, reactionary and radical is. They will see these terms on a continuum from right to left.
The students will take a personal test and discover if they are liberal or conservative on issues.
