WEEK OF DECEMBER 21-23

We are behind so we are chasing lasts weeks information.  So, B-2 and B-4 will be going over the notes on government and the French Revolution. We will be looking at King Louis XIV and the Palace of Versailles. We will be looking lastly at the differences in the 3 estates.

I will be collecting the DBQ.

Tuesday will be the same for A-2 and I will be collecting their DBQ.

Wednesday is a half day. We will be going into the Holiday Break.

WEEK OF DECEMBER 14 - 18

Monday A-2 will present the 9 types of government hand signals. Then we find us taking notes on Enlightenment and looking at the major thinkers of the 1600 an 1700's and how they influenced the USA.  The notes will be found here.  We will make a 9 types of government pamphlet. We will practice our types of governments symbols.  I will be collecting the homework packet on Government.


Tuesday B-2 and B-4 will be doing the same as above. Plus we will go over the homework packet on government so we can have a quiz on the 9 types of government symbols.
There is a homework sheet for homework.





Wednesday  A-2 will go over homework packet and finish pamphlet. Then we will be looking at Absolute Monarchy and the Reign of Louis XIV. We then look at the start of the French Revolution.



     










Thursday B-2 and B-4 will have a quiz on 9 types of government and the political spectrum. We will be looking at Louis XIV and his reign. We will talk about how ideas of new government passing from Europe to the USA back to Europe.
We will start looking at the French Monarch and the seeds of the Revolution.



Friday A-2 will have the quiz on 9 types of government and the political spectrum. We will look at the French Revolution and the 3 estates of France. Then the students will start on a newspaper of the French Revolution.

WEEK OF DECEMBER 7 - 11

NICE TO BE BACK! 3 WEEKS BEFORE CHRISTMAS BREAK!

Our new unit is Revolution in Government. We have talked about revolutions in religion, art and music/culture and now it is governments turn.

Monday B-2 B-4 will have a test on Protestant, Art and Science Revolutions. After the test, students will be talking about Who Should Survive This will lead us to a discussion of society, natural laws and the social contract.Students will also get a homework packet. Students will get homework packet that will be due on Friday the 11th. See below

Tuesday A-2 students will work on Who Should Survive. After they will be introduced to the political spectrum. They will learn what a liberal, conservative, reactionary and radical is. They will see these terms on a continuum from right to left.
The students will take a personal test and discover if they are liberal or conservative on issues.
Students will get a Homework packet that will be due on Monday the 14th. 

Wednesday B-2 and B-4 will work on the political spectrum
Then we will go over the quiz answers and score it. We will discuss some of the questions. Students will be introduced to nine types of government. They will create hand signals to represent each type of government. Students will be given a  Homework packet that will be due next Tuesday.

Thursday A-2 will work on the nine types of government.
