WEEK OF JANUARY 2 - 4

HOPE EVERYONE HAD A NICE VACATION.

Wednesday will be a review of all that we have learned so far. We we also go over writing a good paragraph.

Thursday  will be a quick look at the America's and their revolutions. We will be introduced to America and its contributions. We will also work on a map of the Americas.  This will be followed by a project. Students will create a travel diary on the Americas and the Revolutions that took place after seeing what went on Europe.  HOMEWORK FOR TONIGHT

WEEK OF DECEMBER 17- 21

Monday will find us finishing and going over the French Revolution. We will finish going over the worksheet answers that we working on. The last part of the period will be an introduction to Napoleon.
This video will help review the revolution.



Tuesday will be Napoleon and his reign. We will go over what he did and didn't do well. We will play who is the real Napoleon.





Wednesday we will finish Napoleon and recap the Revolution and what it meant for Europe. We will also go over homework packet.  Wednesday's homework 18-4



Thursday we will review for the exam on goverment, French Revolution and Napoleon.

Friday we will have a test.

WEEK OF DECEMBER 10 -14

Monday will find us finishing the pamphlets on the nine types of government.

Tuesday will find me collecting homework packet. We will start looking at the enlightenment. With notes that tie in government to political spectrum and ideas for new types of government.  NOTES WILL BE HERE. Students will have a homework sheet due.  This little video reminds us why we didn't want the only type of government that most countries had.  A monarchy. Homework for Tuesday here.



Wednesday we will finish taking notes and have a quiz on the the nine types of government.We will look at Louis XIV and the how crazy absolute monarchy could be. WEDNESDAY HOMEWORK HERE.
    
  We will look at how the ideas of new government pass from Europe to America and back to Europe with the French Revolution.

Thursday we have a quiz on Political spectrum and government.  We look at the strart of the French Revolution.

Friday will find us us looking at the French Revolution and the guillotine  We will also look at how we choose  a leader and how the French couldn't do it.

WEEK OF DECEMBER 3 - 7

Monday will be a diverse day. It will be one of collecting DBQ's and going over what we wrote. We will be emptying our 3 ringbinders. I will collect everything and hold on to it for final exams. We will be getting new table of contents. Then I will be asking students what they know about government.

Tuesday students will be be introduced to the political spectrum. They will learn what a liberal, conservative, reactionary and radical is. They will see these terms on a continium from right to left.
The students will take a personal test and discover if they are liberal or conservative on issues.

Wednesday we will go over the quiz answers and score it. We will discuss some of the questions. Students will be introduced to nine types of government. They will create hand signals to represent each type of government. Students will be given a  Homework packet that will be due next Tuesday.

Thursday will find us going over the hand signals and practicing them.   Students will then be in groups creating a pamphlet on the nine types of government.

Friday students will finsih pamphlet on the nine types of government. They will also practice the hand signals for the 9 types of government.  Students will be introduced to the enlightenment and the ideas of where modern republics came from.
