WEEK OF APRIL 11 - 15

This week is a lot like last week. However, we took longer to get ready for the trial than expected. We did discuss the major battles of WWII in Europe and then the strategy of Island Hopping in the Pacific. We did see some good footage on aircraft carriers, Island Hopping and Kamikazes.  We also had a quiz on Friday. So now.....

Monday and Tuesday and Wednesday court will be in session presided over by the Honorable Judge Perlow.

Thursday we will be discussing the end of the war in both Germany and Japan.

Friday we will be doing an activity on the Atomic Bomb. We will be heading into vacation with the cold war.

Here is the footage of aircraft carriers and kamikaze.

WEEK OF APRIL 4- APRIL 8

This week will be a Hitler and Nazi Germany Week. We are going to spend the week putting Hitler on trial. We will run a court room with lawyers and witnesses. I am the Judge. Everyone in the class has a part. They will be a witness or a lawyer. The lesson will allow us to get into a discussion of why the Holocaust happen and who were the major players. It will also allow us to discuss why these kind of atrocities take place today. Could it happen in America?

Monday will be time in the computer lab to type up assigned characters' information and print a picture of the character.

Tuesday and Wednesday will be depositions by the lawyers. While this is going on, students will be working on WWII activity.
