WEEK OF MARCH 28 - APRIL 1

This week is WWII.

On Monday we will be looking at the dictators of the West after WWI and looking at pictures. The notes we take are here.

On Tuesday we will be playing a game show with the Big 3 Dictators: Hitler, Stalin and Mussolini

Wednesday students will be assigned a character for the Hitler Mock Trial. Students will also be looking at some footage of speeches from the Big 3. The students will be working on a little Biography of Hitler.

Thursday we will look at the start of WWII and what triggered the actual start. We will look at the European Theatre and what the war strategy was.

Friday we will look at how WWII actually went with a time line and discussion of events

WEEK OF MARCH 21 - 25

On Monday we will be working on revolution songs based on Russian Revolution.

On Tuesday we will hearing the songs and discussing the information that was covered in the songs.

Wednesday we will review for the test that is on Thursday that covers WWI and Russian Revolution.

Thursday will be the test.

Friday I will not be in class, but the students will be working on an introductory activity to Dictators and WWII.

FRIDAY THE HONORS HAVE THE LAST CHAPTERS OF THE BOOK DUE.

WEEK OF MARCH 14 - 18

On Monday we will be finishing the Movie All Quiet on the Western Front. Students will hand in movie quiz that went with the movie. All classes have a homework sheet ( Chpt 26 sec 3)

Tuesday will be a review day going over homeworks and information on WWI.

Wednesday will be a quiz on WWI.

Thursday the students will be introduced to the Russian Revolution.

Friday the students will be finishing the Russian Revolution.

Honors class will be handing summaries to chapters 8 and 9.

WEEK OF MARCH 7 - MARCH 11

On Monday will review how the war started after we look at some pictures of the main players and new weapons of the war.

Homework packet is due on Monday.

On Tuesday we will look at how the war was fought and which side was fighting each other. We will review a map of where the war was fought.

Wednesday we will be watching All Quiet on the Western Front.

Thursday we will continue watching All Quiet on the Western Front.

Friday we will finish up the movie, collect a movie quiz that goes with the movie and discuss some points of the movie. An excellent movie with some powerful messages and opinions that haven't changed in the last 90 years

*Last American WWI Veteran died last week at age 110.
